Tabas UNESCO Global Geopark Projects

Tabas UNESCO Global Geopark, situated in the northwest of South Khorasan Province, Iran, has historically been known as a transportation highway connecting the south and west to the east and northeast of Iran due to its special geographical location. This geopark is in a desert area with a hot and dry climate and has a great culture. Its geological record reflects the planet’s evolution from Precambrian to Early Cretaceous without interruption. One of the most prominent features of Tabas is its Paleozoic successions, which are unique in Iran and the West Asia.

Cooperation with Tabas Geopark started in October 2017 with Geoproducts consultation project and it continued till now with working on designing interpretation boards and etc.
